How long has Lexis School of Languages been teaching English language courses?
We have been teaching English in London, England since 2007.
Where is Lexis School of Languages?
We are based in the city of London, England. We are in North London in a beautiful, safe, residential area called Finchley Central. A typical tube journey from Finchley Central to Euston (Central London) takes 20 minutes. The school is a short 3 minute walk from Finchley central tube station.
Do you offer Cambridge Exams?
We are an authorized Cambridge English Exam Preparation Centre. We can help you to prepare and register for the Cambridge First Certificate in English, Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English, Cambridge Proficiency in English & IELTS exams.
Do I need a visa to study in the UK?

I need a Short Term Study Visa to study English in the UK. Can I study at Lexis School of Languages?
You cannot study at Lexis School of Languages now. We will soon be accredited by the British Council and join Accreditation UK. You can then study at our school. Please contact our school for information as we plan to join in 2016.
Is the school accredited by the British Council?
We are not yet accredited by the British Council. We aim to become accredited in 2016.
Is the school a member of English UK?
We plan to become members of English UK immediately after becoming British Council accredited.
Are your English language teachers qualified and experienced?
They are all excellent English language teachers. They are motivated and enthusiastic about English language teaching.

They are all qualified, expert English language teachers, but above all they are passionate about languages. Most of them are bilingual or even tri lingual. They understand how to help you learn.

Can I choose from a selection of courses?
Yes – with our many years of experience, including the Higher Education (HE) sector at the University of London, we have created an unrivalled range of courses for you to choose from.

We offer courses in General English (all levels), Exam Preparation, English for Specific Purposes, English for Executives and even English for Juniors.

How many students are in a class?
Our classes have an average of 9 students and a maximum of 15 students. We believe small groups make the classes more productive.

We also offer Executive English classes with a maximum of 6 students in each group.

Our Private classes have 1, 2 or 3 students.

Will I receive a certificate or diploma when I complete my studies?
At the end of your course, if you have passed the end of course test, completed any necessary assignments and have attended at least 90% of the course, you will receive a certificate of studies, detailing your level of achievement.

You can also choose to take an independently assessed external examination if you wish, such as Cambridge FCE, CAE, CPE or IELTS. We can help to arrange this for you.

Can I pay my tuition fees in installments?
We offer various methods of payment for different courses. The most cost effective payment method is always when a course is paid in full in advance.

We are committed to providing you with the highest standards of education and maintaining reasonable, affordable tuition fees.

Do I have to pay a new registration fee each time I re-enroll on a course?
No, registration fees are payable only once. Previously enrolled students do not have to pay registration fees.
Will I receive a refund if I cancel my course?
